SK Telecom Americas (SKTA) is an aggressively growing organization that has revolutionized the telecommunications marketplace with leading-edge technology for convergent mobile solutions. We serve as the business gateway between SK Telecom (Korea's largest mobile operator) and the US market and have recently formed three new divisions with the intent of leveraging SK Telecom's experience and resources while forming strategic partnerships that transcend businesses and geographic locations across the world.

As Director of Finance & Corporate Planning, your three-fold mission is to:

1. Articulate and develop a short and long term strategic plan (including M&A) of where SKTA should be heading.
2. Assist executives in making decisions for investment in new business opportunities, developing strategies to extract synergistic value from the investment projects, and completing M&A deals.
3. Developing and implementing best-practice processes and methods for SKT's corporate and business development activities.

Our Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA or other advanced degree required.
• 7+ years of investment project valuation, financial risk management, corporate strategy and/or corporate financing experience; must have at least 4 years of investment banking and/or strategy consulting experience at a top tier management consulting firm or investment bank
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data and develop meaningful analysis.
• Outstanding analytical, research, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities, including oral and written communication skills.

More About Your Role

You will report directly to the Senior Vice President of our Strategy Group with a dotted line to the President as you join us at our Sunnyvale office, conveniently located in the heart of Silicon Valley, with an abundance of parks, shops and restaurants making it an ideal place to live, work & play.

You'll work closely with our Strategy Group and Business Development Group to facilitate strategic planning activities and investment decisions, helping enhance both the process and the caliber of analysis and insight.

Some of your initial challenges revolve around defining our overall corporate strategy in a fluid, evolving environment. You'll interface extensively with our HQ in Korea and be able to overcome cultural and communication differences to effectively sell your ideas and navigate through multiple layers of decision making as you build relationships and ensure complete alignment with SK Telecom's overall strategic objectives.
