As Technology Manager and pivotal member of our R&D team, you will use your research skills and in-depth experience in technology to analyze the current and future product and technology trends on an industry and company basis. Your in-depth understanding of the companies, products and technologies in the market will be used to help guide priorities and strategies for our technology development efforts.

Much of your role will be defined once you are on board and we can assess the unique skill set and experiences you possess. You will report directly to the Vice President of R&D and join us at our Sunnyvale office, conveniently located in the heart of Silicon Valley, with an abundance of parks, shops and restaurants making it an ideal place to live, work & play.
Since ours is a start-up environment, some of your key challenges revolve around articulating and defining our technology strategy in an undefined, evolving environment. You'll also overcome cultural and communication differences to effectively build relationships with our HQ in Korea and ensure complete alignment with SK Telecom's overall strategic objectives.
At a high level, you'll spend about 60% of your time researching new technologies and visiting companies; another 30% serving as an advisor to the Development team and providing recommendations for the technology platform; and the remaining 10% collaborating with key stakeholders and synthesizing the research into digestible reports.
